They are real heroes. They may not be famous celebrities but with their courage, they have shown human kind that nothing is impossible, if you have a strong determination.
On August 13, 2016, Pinkathon, the organization by Milind Soman to promote Health and Fitness among women organized Sheroes Trek Walk to spread awareness regarding the deadly disease Cancer by showcasing their survivors.
Around 15 women who have either themselves or someone close to them has fought Cancer took part in the walk at Leisure Valley, Gurugram to spread the message that the disease cannot defeat you. The women who took part in the walk carried placards which spread a strong message about the issue which read as I am a Fighter I am a Warrior I am a Survivor
Each women taking part in the walk had a story to tell- A story in which she fought against all odds to come up victorious against deadly cancer and become what Pinkathon calls Sheroes.
This walk was a part of the initiative by Pinkathon which has always believed that irrespective of the circumstances, every woman is a fighter and has the capacity to overcome the difficult storms of life.
Having fought with cancer, sheroes are the true role models for the society and other cancer victims should learn from them about how to go on with the life and not get affected by any kind of adversaries.
Nothing should stop your life from carrying on and a disease like cancer is sure cannot be one of those issues that can hold you back from carrying on with your daily routine. So if you have been held back by cancer, just take inspiration from Sheroes and you will find that there is more to life than just grieving about the past.
